FORMATION
Luiz Cláudio Sousa
Luiz Cláudio Sousa has a Master's degree in Music by UNICAMP, Bachelor's Degree in Music/Guitar by Faculdade de Artes Alcântara Machado (FAAM) and Certified in Music/Guitar by Fundação das Artes de São Caetano do Sul and Center for Music Studies.
He is currently a professor at Companhia das Cordas, columnist for the website Guitar Experience, guitarist of Bicho de Pé band (Brazilian Music Band) and music producer.
Among his most important productions are the album "Tá Osso", by the musician Tiê Alves (2019); the CD/DVD “So Long”, by the singer J.J. Jackson from Brazil (2014); and the album “Fração dos Ventos”, by Doddo Silva (2013).
He transcribed the SongBook “Alegria nos Dedos”, by Arismar do Espirito Santo, released in 2014.
In 2013, beside JS Quarteto, João Silveira (flutes), Rafael Adballa (double bass) and Leandro Lui (drums), he released the CD “Quitanda Brasileira”, with the participation of Israel de Almeida (7 guitar) strings) and the Italian flutist Mário Carbotta. The group has already performed in London (England), Bergamo (Italy) and in Brazil, with guests like Toninho Carrasqueira (Flute) and Ivan Vilella (Viola).
